System Requirements: Ð Macintosh with 68020 or PPC processor or higher. Ð System 7.0 or later. Description I think only developers are interested in using this tool. This application converts a decimal number to hexadecimal and a hexadecimal number to decimal. There are no limits in the size fo the numbers. Operation Guide You can only type in these characters to the text fields, which are allowed in this number system (lowercase characters will be automaticly convert to uppercase). With the clipboard you can put every text to the text fields, but if this is not a logical number the result is not secure. You cannot enter negative numbers and you cannot enter a decimal point. After entering the number, press the return or enter-key. The number in the activ text field will be translated to the number system of the other text field. If you enter verry large numbers the translation can take some time. Meanwhile the translation you will see the watch-cursor. You can stop the translation by pressing the esc-key or Command and point. Language Pack The standard installation package comes with a language pack. With this package, which contains an application translator, you can change the user interface (windows, dialogs, menus etc.) of this application to another language. The following languages are supported: English, German. You can download this package and the Application Translator from my homepage. Version Information I developed hex<->dez (now called HexDec) 1994 as a little tool. 1999 this application is copletely new programmed. In the next version you can translate to other number systems like binary, octal, etc.
